219 was a rebrand project. I wanted to create a visual identity that could encapsulate all of the brewing and regional heritage, but also, like most great beer, not take itself too seriously. The updated branding featured something a little gritty, a little retro, and very midwestern. Capitalizing on the rich history of bottle cap design, I decided to make that the container for the main mark.

Once the refresh was complete there was a 360° digital, OOH, and print campaign to enliven the brand. Since then, 219 Beer’s online followers have nearly doubled.
